TouchTrak (Level 2 GPS)
|
TouchTrak is Sentinel's exclusive Level 2
Intermediate GPS supervision. In TouchTrak, the TrakMate GPS
tracking unit pulls, stores and sends location information at
programmable time intervals without the immediate notification
requirements of AlertTrak. This level allows an officer to initiate
"on-demand" verification of the most recent position of the offender
as well as allowing direct voice contact with the offender on his
TrakMate GPS tracking unit. This direct communication capability
feature is not available from any other provider.
In TouchTrak, the offender can use the TrakMate to call his
supervising officer to relay schedule changes or any other important
information, if permitted by the officer. More importantly, this
level allows the officers to contact the offender at anytime to
speak with him about any alarms, schedules, or zone violations. All
program alarm notification parameters, protocol and guidelines would
be approved by the corrections department prior to program
implementation.
Unique TouchTrak Features Include:
- All features found in Level One
- QuickCheck: Downloads all points to our
monitoring center at specific time frames to ensure the system is
functioning correctly. Any failure to report will result in an
immediate alert to the officer and monitoring center personnel.
- On-Demand: Allows an officer to locate the
offender using the CommandTrak, a laptop or basic personal
computer with Internet capabilities. The location information is
displayed on a detailed Mapquestc color map complete with address
information and zoom-in capabilities.
- On-Call: Allows an officer to place a call to
the TrakMate GPS unit carried by the offender, directly from the
CommandTrak module or any standard telephone line.
- Emergency Beacon: A one-touch button on the
TrakMate GPS unit configured to immediately connect the offender
with the supervising officer at any number upon officer
discretion.
